What is the appropriate age group?
Zoo to You caters for the individual needs of their audience. We deliver programs for 18 Month olds right up to 100 year olds.
What animals will I see?
There is no guarantee what animals will be available on the day, however we try to bring a minimum of 5 animals per visit. We can also cater the program to your individual needs.
How long is the session?
Most sessions range from 30 to 90 minutes, but we are more than happy to work within your requirements.
What is involved?
Zoo to you will deliver an up close wildlife experience in an educational and entertaining presentation. Every child will get a chance to learn all about the physical characteristics of each animal, and will interact close enough to have a touch. Each program is tailored to your individual needs and that of the children’s.
Can the animals be touched?
Our animals have been carefully chosen, hand reared and love to be handled. Every child will get a chance to have a personal encounter with each animal, getting up close for an interaction they will never forget.
What do we need to do on the day?
Please ensure you have an area with enough room for the children to sit in a circle or in front of me, as this will allow us to display the animals and let each person meet them up close.
Can the session be outside?
Sessions can be done both inside and outside, however if you would like to have your presentation outside please advise Zoo to You, so special arrangements can be made. Shade for both the children and the animals are also a requirement for an outside presentation. Please note – Birds unavailable for outside presentations.
How should I pay?
Payment can be made by cash on the day or an invoice issued with a 7 day strict payment terms – speak to Jodie about your individual needs.
How much notice do you need to make a booking?
To avoid disappointment we prefer as much notice as possible as we tend to book out very quickly.
What Qualifications do your staff have?
Our staff are fully qualified Wildlife Educators who all have a Blue Card for working with children. Between us all we have degrees in Wildlife Biology, Education and Captive animal management. All staff are trained by Jodie who has 18 years experience in working with children and wildlife.
Do you have insurance and licences?
Yes, Zoo to You holds a $20 million public liability insurance (ask today for our certificate) and are fully licensed through Biosecurity QLD with Exhibited Animals – our Permit number is PRID000357.
